Today we’re going to look at the Slidewise add-in for PowerPoint from Neuxpower. Neuxpower is a UK-based development company that creates several add-ins that work with PowerPoint files, other Microsoft Office format files such as Word and Excel, graphic file formats, and PDFs.
Most of these products optimize the files so that your file sizes are smaller and the files themselves are snappier. Their products include various desktop and server-based versions of NXPowerLite, and WeCompress, an online web-based compression tool. Plus, they have released this new add-in for PowerPoint called Slidewise that we are exploring today.
So, what does Slidewise do? Not only does it help you compress your PowerPoint files, but it also lets you look under the hood to understand what’s ballooning the file sizes? It also lets you embed fonts wherever possible, and also unembed fonts wherever needed. You can also replace fonts if some of them are not installed on your system.
Slidewise also looks at the media files in your presentation and lets you know the slide number where each image or media file has been used. This information saves you so much time, especially if you have a large presentation that contains many images, sounds, and videos.
You can also locate linked files of all types including media clips, PDFs, Excel files, and more. This works even if you have video files from YouTube embedded on your slides.
All put together, Slidewise is an amazing add-in that you should have within your PowerPoint toolbox. It will save you hours of time and will let you control your PowerPoint file’s size and structure like no other tool.
