This feature is easy to use. All you need to do is to select some text on your slide or even on the Notes pane, and then right-click. In the resultant contextual menu, you can choose the Open in Immersive Reader option.

Within the immersive reader, you can choose to have your text read using a female or male voice. You can also alter the voice speed.

This feature is presently available to Office Insiders but will be rolling out to other users in due course. Also, this feature is currently only available to PowerPoint for the Web users. Hopefully, this will be made available to PowerPoint desktop users as well.

The Immersive Reader option will be helpful for people with disabilities and will further the use of PowerPoint in education and business. Additionally, the Immersive Reader also provides an additional textual view of your presentation content devoid of graphics and media. And sometimes, hearing someone else narrate your content can help you improve your own content.
